Competitive Malta - Foundation for National Competitiveness was set up in December 2003 by a group of business organizations with national competitiveness at heart. Current membership includes: Bank of Valletta, EMCS, HSBC, Malta International Airport, GO, FIMbank, ICON Studios, Attard & Co, Novartis Pharma (Malta), Yellow Pages (Malta), FIMbank, Salvo Grima Group, Toly Products, VISET, Minding International (Dr. Edward de Bono), M Demajo Group, Allied Newspapers, VJ Salomone (Pharma) and Vodaphone. Competitive Malta is a not for profit foundation and undertakes research on issues relating to national competitiveness. As a partner institute of the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report, one of its prime activities is to carry out executive opinion research in order for Malta to be ranked with other countries. Competitive Malta is: Representative: we encompass institutions, organizations and individuals representing diverse sectors of the country’s society and economy. Independent: we are not attached to any political movement or organized body. Credible: we provide information which is reliable and well supported by evidence. Competitive Malta is: • A grouping of corporate leaders • A platform for debate and policy promotion based on inter/intra industry dialogue • A proactive and pragmatic body dedicated to the cause of national competitiveness
